Program Outcomes
Articulate the three main anthropological approaches to the study of humanity: cross-cultural comparison, holism, and evolutionary theory.
Summarize how anthropological approaches help us understand human biological, linguistic, and cultural variation, including those features that distinguish humans from other species.
Use anthropological concepts to analyze the structure and transformation of human bodies, societies, and cultures past and present.
Employ cultural relativism to discuss human diversity and articulate how cultural relativism can lead to a better understanding of and respect for people whose culture differs from the student’s own.
