SPAN 1102 - Beginning Spanish II

Proceeds from SPAN 1101 . Provides a continued development of basic language skills and a further introduction to cultures of the Spanish-speaking world with a focus on understanding and appreciation.

Pre-Requisites SPAN 1101

Listening: Understand level-appropriate materials.

Speaking: Communicate orally using level-appropriate vocabulary and structures.

Reading: Understand level-appropriate materials.

Writing: Write brief compositions on a few simple topics.

Culture: Acquire cultural knowledge for understanding and appreciation.

Carry on a short conversation about personal interests including things they did, are doing and plan to do.

Ask and answer a variety of questions giving reasons for the answers.

Exchange personal preferences and feelings.

Express agreement and disagreement.
