MUSC 1134 - Applied Percussion
2 Credits Provides private percussion lessons by arrangement with the instructor. This course will include a study of basic percussion techniques. Course work will be suited to the skill level of the student and these credits may be repeated as often as desired. An extra fee is required for this course. Course includes 15 half-hour lessons per term. Prereq: Instructor approval.

Learning Outcomes Through performance, demonstrate proper basic techniques, rudiments, and coordination Develop a vocabulary through which to intelligently communicate information about music Demonstrate understanding of notation and theoretical knowledge by application to performance of a variety of repertoire and/or site-reading Investigate the contextual information related to the repertoire being performed Perform literature appropriate to students playing level/abilities
