ART 2101 - Sculpture II



3 Credits
Explores advanced sculptural concepts, techniques, and materials with an emphasis on personal aesthetic. An historical overview with an emphasis on contemporary approaches to sculpture. Visits to galleries, museums, and sculpture parks may be included in this course. Topics and projects may include site specific sculpture, installation, plaster and/or poly resin mold making, kinetic sculpture, assemblage, form, figurative sculpture, history of traditional sculpture, contemporary sculpture, scale, plane, texture and space as it relates to sculpture.

Develop skills using a variety of tools and materials to create sculpture

Demonstrate ability to use sculpture vocabulary terms in the classroom setting and during critiques
