Develops student understanding of and skills in more advanced theories and practices of stage acting. Attention will be paid to Shakespeare.

Learning Outcomes
Articulate the theories of noted acting coaches such as: Stanislavski, Bolaslaveski, and Uta Hagen. Recognize the acting techniques required for character development in period plays. Identify and describe the classical theatre of the Greeks, Shakespeare, Moliere and eighteenth and nineteenth century playwrights. Communicate, both in writing and performance advanced study in character development and the creative process.
